Sir — This refers to the article, “Obama takes a shot at India but target is US” (January 30). Obviously, US President Barack Obama’s comments, made during his farewell speech on religious freedom, indicated that every person is free to choose a faith of his or her own volition and to propagate it as well. This has also been articulated in the Constitution. But perhaps, the US President was killing two birds with one stone: Speaking in terms of Indian multiplicity of religions and simultaneously driving at the Christian voters as well human rights champions in the United States.
