This refers to the article, “Court must rethink on call drops” (May 17) by Shivaji Sarkar. Although the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India imposed a penalty on telecom operators for dropped calls, its action was not transparent as customers still suffer with no concrete solution in sight. More mobile phone towers and spectrum can help, but it is the intent of the telecom operators which is in question. Until and unless this is corrected, there can be no real solution.
