This refers to the editorial, “Time for common code” (October 16). It is a known fact that Muslim women are the worst sufferers of the Muslim personal laws. The triple-talaq system has been creating havoc in their lives.
Male fundamentalists do not want to give freedom to their women counterparts. It is time that the laws that are obsolete, non-productive and useless, be scrapped. They need to be re-visited before bringing in a common civil code.
