Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's crude jibes against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wisely ignored with the contempt they deserve, are doing more harm to the attacker than the target. No wonder, some critics of Mr Gandhi's cheap language have advised him ‘to grow out of his diapers'. It is saddening that the Congress dynasty's virtual head has yet to learn the ropes of a mature, dignified political leader; he continues to behave like a juvenile street-fighter, ridiculing an elected Prime Minister.
The Congress leader made ignorant comments that lalit Modi has “the remote control” of Rajasthan: He presses the button in london and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje promptly acts his bidding in Rajasthan. Mr Gandhi does not know — or pretends not to know — that Mr lalit Modi is a persona non grata in Rajasthan, as also in Delhi. There are cases filed against him. Hence, he is running scared and uttering nonsense.
