Rahul doublespeak

Published on:

Sir — This refers to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s address to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. There is a difference between what he says and does. He talks of combating corruption but is silent on how the Maharashtra Government has rejected a report on irregularities indulged in by ruling party leaders in the Adarsh scam. The same leaders will now be projected as clean and they will be back in business.

Mr Gandhi was nowhere to be seen when the people were agitating against corruption, but he now seeks to take credit for the lokpal Bill. Similarly, the Congress is pretending as if Mr Gandhi has only now been given authority. Yet, he has practically taken all major party decisions which Congress satraps have willingly followed for long.
