Sir — This refers to reports of a massive rally of the Patel community held in Ahmedabad and addressed by their leader, one Hardik Patel. The Patel community should focus on uplifting the weaker sections among it rather than doing this drama of demanding reservation for the entire community.
Reservations are a scar on the soul of India. Show the way and uplift the weaker ones, just like the Jains and the other communities do. The reservation system based on castes and communities needs an overhaul. Those who have benefitted for decades need to be taken out of the system.
