This refers to the editorial, “Chandy’s solar world” (January 29). As Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy has lost moral credentials. Ms Saritha S Nair has confessed that she had given Mr Chandy a bribe of `1.90 for getting Government support for her company’s solar power projects.
It was also alleged that Mr Chandy had close relations with Ms Nair. Even as Mr Chandy has denied charges, circumstantial evidence will ultimately convict him.
It seems that corruption and scandal which are the products of perverse governance and malfeasance, is really inherited from the legacy of the Congress. Mr Chandy is no exception. Appropriate punishment by force of law should be awarded to him for his vile design and villainous practice.
