This refers to the reports, “Rahul scores self-goal in session with students” and “Day after, protests spur Aamir into clarification” (November 26). It was gratifying to see proud Indians, young and old, standing up for their country and their elected Government, telling Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and actor Aamir Khan where to get off. Mr Gandhi, during an interaction with students of the Mount Carmel college for girls in Bangalore, was booed by the students. The students countered his assertion that Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and Make in India programme of the Modi Government was not working.
Similarly, Mr Khan had to eat his words while clarifying that he and his wife had no plans to leave India. If Mr Khan loved his country so much, why did he not disapprove his wife’s suggestion that they should probably leave the countryIJ Does it not sound as a most irresponsible , insensitive and alarming remark that can severely damage India’s image abroadIJ
