Sir — This refers to the article, “Embrace the sacred, dump the secular” (July 16) by Sandhya Jain. True, this man-made disaster should not cater to the numerous political and other junkies waiting like vultures to exploit and loot the riches that abound in the Kedarnath region.
Since the current Congress-led UPA Government, regardless of whether at the Centre or State levels, is more involved in scams and corruption rather than governance, we can only hope and pray that some good sense will prevail and efforts will be made to restore the holy shrine and the region back to its pristine glory.
