Sir — This refers to the report, “Shun intolerance to ensure equity, democracy: Prez” (January 26). President Pranab Mukherjee has rightly said that delays harm the development process. His statement should be an eye-opener to the Congress which has been opposing the most vital Goods and Services Tax Bill and disrupting parliamentary work.
Mr Mukherjee has also rightly said that peace cannot be discussed under the shower of bullets. Shockingly and unfortunately, the Inter-Services Intelligence and the Army in Pakistan are unable to foresee the economic and the all-round growth of the common people, particularly the young generation of Pakistan, by having normal, trade and friendly relations with India.
