Practise tit-for-tat policy against Islamabad

Published on:

This refers to the article, “lessons this tragedy teaches” (May 2) by Mayuri Mukherjee. Trying to preach humanity to Pakistan is like reading the Scriptures to a devil. Pakistan is akin to a terrorist state and it will never mend its ways. Pakistani state actors like the ISI instigate non-state actors to export terrorism and kill innocents with impunity.

However, right from the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts to the 26/11 terror attacks, India has been cowardly in its dealings with Pakistan. It has shamelessly continued its parleys with Islamabad even after the latter treated New Delhi's protestations with disdain and threw out all the evidence which nailed Pakistan's complicity in the 26/11 attacks. Because Pakistan took India's weak mindset for granted, the murder of Sarabjit Singh was possible. India should at least now snap diplomatic ties with Pakistan, bomb terrorist training camps in that country and re-take Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. let us emulate Israel and practise a tit-for-tat policy.
