Power hungry

Sir — Having fortuitously secured 28 seats in the Delhi Assembly in its maiden contest, the Aam Aadmi Party has not stopped bragging that it is the most favoured representative of the people of Delhi.

In saying that the BJP is involved in corruption, AAP leaders are insulting the people who have voted the BJP to power in three States. The BJP has won 408 seats out of the 589 that went to polls.

The AAP has become a stumbling block in the formation of a Government in Delhi by the BJP.  Its contemptuous repeated declaration not to accept any support from or give any support to any party in the formation of a Government in Delhi, is not good for the people. It’s the AAP’s lust for power which is behind the party’s decision.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s lieutenant Governor should ask the BJP to form a Government to serve the people of Delhi and give the party three months’ time to seek a vote of confidence. If the BJP fails to win the trust vote, a re-election can be ordered.
