Sir — This refers to the article, “India’s monumental discrimination” (July 20) by Navneet Anand. The intent behind differential pricing is not to discriminate, based on skin, colour or ethnicity, but to ensure that tickets are available at affordable rates for poor Indians. However, the problem is that this policy assumes that all Indians are poor.
