This refers to the editorial, “Premature accusation” (January 21). The suicide of Rohith Vemula is indeed unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is the way in which various political parties are exploiting this tragic issue to gain advantage. This calls for a thorough inquiry to unearth the truth.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, without losing time, visited the University of Hyderabad only to blame the Modi Government. Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal has done the same. However, this is not for the first time that a Dalit student has committed suicide, but none of our political leaders raised their voice then, let alone visit the aggrieved families.
