Sir — This refers to the report, “Aghast at House suspension, SC seeks Congress, BJP take” (March 8). Everyone knows that no Government formation is possible in the present composition of the Delhi Assembly. The only solution is a fresh election.
But the Union Government thinks otherwise. Perhaps it believes that the Congress and the BJP can form a coalition regime! This is why the Supreme Court has asked Congress and the BJP to clarify their positions.
No one is giving a thought to the fact that precious resources can be saved if the Delhi Assembly election, which is imminent, is held along with the lok Sabha poll. It appears that competing political parties do not want the Delhi election right now as they hope to better their performance later.
Also, the petition by the Aam Aadmi Party against the Centre’s decision to keep the House in suspended animation is to gain political mileage.
