Sir — KPS Gill was a super-cop. But for him, Khalistani terrorism would not have become a thing of the past. Not only the State of Punjab but also the entire nation owes him a debt of gratitude. The courage and determination with which he put down the menace gives him a special place in the history of our country.
When everyone was afraid to utter a word against the Khalistanis who were going around gunning down those who dared to oppose them, he pursued them relentlessly and exterminated them to Pakistan’s utter disappointment.
Apart from his achievements as a policeman, the post-retirement contributions he made for the purification of Yamuna river at Vrindavan and the role he played in various other areas in Chhattisgarh etc, are significant. KPS Gill lived up to his uniform as well as a conscientious citizen of India. He was truly a courageous man.
