Sir — The Delhi High Court has directed the Juvenile Justice Board to interact with the juvenile who was accused in the infamous Nirbhaya rape case. Indeed, the order is full of pious desire, but the responsibility of the implementation of the order lies with the Executive.
The Executive will have to ensure that in the process of his rehabilitation, the juvenile is not lynched by an uncivilised mob, which has not the refinement to appreciate the noble intention of the judicial order. Also, the extensive security coverage the juvenile accused will receive, will bestow on him a celebrity status.
