Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Iron will and iron hand” (July 12). The cowardly terrorist attacks on innocent Amarnath yatris is most reprehensible. These barbaric acts are an attack on humanity and simply cannot be forgiven. We should all condemn it in unequivocal terms. There is an urgent need for an all-out and well-coordinated response from the security forces to neutralise these elements who are a blot on humanity. It will send a strong message to terrorists and their supporters that any threat to our security and national integrity will be met with a firm and swift response even across the borders.
This incident will add to India’s determination to stamp out the terror outfits, and eliminate them for good. These terrorists groups’ financial support should be targeted if they are to be eradicated.
