Sir — The refusal of the Congress-led Government in Uttarakhand to accept aid from Gujarat is a reflection of the close-minded and irrational thinking that has been the hallmark of the UPA Government.
Everyone knows Gujarat has previous experience in reconstruction and rehabilitation in the wake of natural disasters in the State, and Mr Narendra Modi’s offer of help is genuine. By refusing it, the Congress has deprived the people of Uttrakhand of the much-needed relief, and in the process demonstrated its Modi-phobia.
