Sir — The Madras High Court’s order, making the singing of Vande Mataram mandatory in all Government institutions, deserves appreciation. This poem has mesmerised innumerable revolutionaries, who sung it all through their sacrificial valour during the freedom struggle, and is is the natioal song.
