Pakistan's bankruptcy

Published on:

Sir — This refers to Pakistani Army chief General Raheel Sharif’s comment that Kashmir is “an unfinished agenda of partition”. This statement reflects Pakistan’s bankruptcy, both militarily and economically. The Pakistani establishment behaves like a feudal lord and is indifferent to the people. The middle class is fleeing the country while the poor have busied themselves withjihadi pursuits. Pakistan’s friends and patrons abroad, such as America and China, are frustrated with this state of affairs.
