This refers to the editorial, “Watching over Dawood” (August 25). For several years, India has been crying from rooftops that it's most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim lives in Pakistan right under the nose of the Pakistani establishment. The UN committee's endorsement of this fact only adds credence to India's claim. Six of the nine addresses provided by India have been found to be correct. Not surprisingly, Pakistan has issued a denial.
Dawood Ibrahim is not only wanted for th 1993 Mumbai serial blasts but also for supporting terror outfits like the Al Qaeda and the lashkar -e-Tayyeba. It is an open secret that Dawood Ibrahim cannot move freely even in Pakistan, and his every step is monitored by the the Pakistani Government. It is still unclear whether Dawood Ibrahim will be handed over to India after this development, but there will surely be more pressure on Pakistan to accept the truth.
