Sir — This refers to the article, “It’s not jingoism, but a display of self-worth” (June 17) by Rajesh Singh. As India is growing up and owning up to its strengths and weaknesses, it is obligated — as the world’s largest democracy — to be frank and open about itself.
If that means it has to declare its policy regarding its military covert operations, then so be it. This, however, does not mean it has to apologise to its adversaries.
