Sir — The Opposition has been repeatedly targeting the Modi Government for issuing ordinances recently. The development agenda catapulted the BJP to a thumping victory in the lok Sabha poll. The Modi regime has been compelled to resort to ordinances for pushing its development ideas. An ordinance was recently brought to amend the land acquisition Bill, making it easier for companies to purchase land for industrial projects without compromising on the compensation amount.
While bringing ordinances frequently may be against the spirit of parliamentary democracy, the Modi Government cannot be blamed in the current context. The Opposition is misusing its numbers in the Rajya Sabha.
