This refers to the editorial, “Fortifying possibilities” (June 10). It is laudable that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with his oratorical skills, mesmerised the audience at the joint session of the US Congress and made India proud with his effective and efficient deliveries.
Besides his oratorical skills, another important reason for Modi getting repeated standing ovation is the English language which he used to deliver his speech. Had he delivered his speech in Hindi, it would have sounded latin and Greek to his audience and his great speech would have gone unappreciated.
