This refers to the editorial, “Award as political tool” (October 13). The Sahitya Akademi award winning authors who are returning their awards in protest today, had been ignored by the country’s aam aadmi. They were silent when several communal incidents had occurred in the past during the Congress regimes. All of a sudden, they have woken up to get back in the public limelight.
