This refers to the article, “India strikes terror” (September 30) by Chandan Mitra. Perpetrators of the Uri attack and their patrons couldn’t have imagined that India would avenge the way it did. The well-planned and perfectly executed surgical strike by our military forces across the line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir, destroying seven terrorist camps and killing more than three dozen terrorists, has thrilled the nation and has satisfied the anger generated by the Uri attack in which our soldiers were killed.
On the other hand, political parties have demonstrated that they are united and will support the Government and the Army in matters related to national security. People are now confident that the Government and the Army is fully prepared to meet the situation if Pakistan opts for the suicidal path of waging war against India. It is better that the people of Pakistan and the elected Government realise that the real enemy of Pakistan is not India, but the terrorists on their soil, their own Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence.
