At one time the Congress-led Government in New Delhi was supporting Velupillai Prabhakaran and his murderous liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, allegedly through the Research and Analysis Wing, and the Sri lankan Government through the Indian Peace-Keeping Force. That a number of Indian soldiers died as a result of this ill-conceived move seemed to have been of little concern to those in the seat of authority in New Delhi.
