Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Iron will and iron hand” (July 12). The attack on the Amarnath pilgrims is neither the first such strike nor will it be the last unless the Government give the Army carte blanche to fight terrorism.
Merely conveying hollow condolences to the kin of the bereaved families and detesting the attack in the strongest possible words will not suffice.
