Sir — To create an impression on the voters, political parties have been rolling out promises, and the candidates have been talking of unveiling several welfare measures when their party was in power. Politicians must understand that they are not doing any favour to the people, and whatever they promise to do or have done, form an integral part of their duties and responsibilities as the elected representatives of the people.
