Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Mallya in real trouble” (April 18). Industrialist Vijay Mallya, instead of paying his debts, is negotiating with his lenders. Hopefully, the suspension of his passport will be the final nail in the coffin. The extradition process will be lengthy, but it looks like Mallya has run out of option and he should now face the law of this land. He cannot keep avoiding the Enforcement Directorate’s summons forever. General perception has gone completely against him due to his escapist attitude.
