Sir — This refers to the article, “Miscalculation that can be fatal” (July 11) by Mayuri Mukherjee.
There is only one Taliban and that is the bad Taliban, evil to the core. Sooner than later, the US will realise the folly of engaging with the Taliban, but the same cannot be said about the Congress-led UPA Government, which seems to have shockingly changed its stance vis-a-vis the group. But then, the present regime has always been a tad soft on terror and those propagating it.
