Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Betraying people’s trust” (July 21). Prior to the last lok Sabha election, JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar had snapped ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party to appease the minorities. But his gimmick did not pay and his party suffered. Now again he is to shake hand with his once bête noire, lalu Prasad, to avoid the division of ‘secular’ votes. Again the writing is on the wall. lalu Prasad’s RJD is an enemy of humanity and development of Bihar.
The people have had first-hand experience of this. They can be fooled once or twice, but not always. This was proved with the defeat of lalu Prasad’s wife and daughter in the just concluded lok Sabha election.
