Sir — This refers to the article, “Grand betrayal by the political class” (August 20) by A Surya Prakash. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was hailed as a reformist and a man of integrity. But a person, under whose nose, crores have been siphoned off, cannot be called honest.
With the economy heading for disaster, the rupee falling to unimaginable depths; unemployment increasing; industrial growth static; Pakistan and China provoking and mocking us constantly, there is really nothing to write home about Mr Singh’s nine-year rule.
