Sir — This refers to the editorial, “The game-changer” (September 9). The visit of the Prime Minister of Australia to India lays credence to India’s growing clout in trade and commerce and Australian eagerness to seal the deals in bilateral trade. India’s strategic location and huge potential in the form of skilled and cheap labour, abundance in manpower, affordable production mechanisms, are all plus points.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pro-development and pro-investment stance and his avowal to foreign direct investment in various avenues have left countries now salivating to seal deals with India. We can expect more agreements with various other countries in the coming months with Mr Modi at the helm.
