This refers to the article, “When perception blurs the fact” (April 28) by Bhupendra Chaubey. I agree with the writer’s view that the Government has to an extent, failed to effectively market its new land Bill. The proposed reforms have been long overdue, and need to be introduced urgently to create infrastructure of the kind available in the developed countries, and provide basic facilities like electric supply, irrigation, roads, schools and colleges, hospitals, and locally-available employment opportunities in rural India.
However, regretfully, opposition parties are bent on opposing anything and everything the NDA proposes, digging out un-important issues to protest in Parliament and outside. They take sadistic pleasure in criticising and attacking even the official tours and sartorial taste of the Prime Minister. This kind of cheap behaviour by the opposition parties reflects their depraved mindset and frustration.
