Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Killing Bangalore’s lakes” (March 9). That thousands of fish were found dead in Bangalore’s Ulsoor lake, is shocking. This beautiful lake has lost its charm due to negligence. The mixing of drain water and pollutants, especially the one from the nearby abattoirs is a cause for concern. Desilting of the tank is essential so as to increase the level of water and to make life peaceful for the aquatics.
