The near-nude posters of Aamir Khan for the film, PK, are in bad taste and vulgar. One did not expect such stooping from the renowned film personality. There was no need for him to be shown in an offensive posture. If it was done to create shock value and draw audiences to the cinema halls, it is worse. He does not need such stunts to attract crowds to his films.
Aamir Khan has the image of a responsible citizen who promotes social causes, not just though his films but also in real life. He is even considered as some kind of an intellectual in the film fraternity. Unlike many present-day actors, he is not involved in a number of assignments for mere commercial gains.
Aamir Khan’s dedication and intelligence has made him an icon. He must take care that his conduct does not harm this image and leave his fans disappointed and even betrayed.
