Sir — This refers to the report, “... ‘Amar’ to live forever in our hearts!” (April 28). Vinod Khanna was an actor of his own style who performed all kinds of roles — be it of a hero or a villain. He was reportedly spotted at a party in Mumbai by Sunil Dutt, who offered him a role in his home production Man Ka Meet. Some of his memorable films include, Parvarish, Amar Akbar Anthony, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Qurbani, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar etc. Mere Apne was, perhaps one his best films.
