Sir — The lalit Modi scandal will not die anytime soon. The BJP should defuse the situation by putting External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on a waitlist of sorts and ordering an inquiry into her dealings. If she is cleared after the probe, she can take over her ministerial responsibilities again. This is what Prime Minister AB Vajpayee had done in the case of Mr George Fernandes.
The same goes for Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Union Minister Smriti Irani. Both their cases are becoming headaches for the Government.
