This refers to the editorial, “Politics in education too” (April 6). The UPA had contested the ruling of the Allahabad High Court, to appease the minority community for political expediency.
Secularism is an invaluable asset in our way of life. It helps strengthen communal harmony and social cohesion which creates conducive and congenial atmosphere for peaceful co-existence. But the Congress has been misusing the values of secularism and pursuing appeasement of the minorities.
