Instead of utilising tax-payers’ money for the betterment of all sections of the population, the Government of Telangana is showering gifts and hosting Iftar celebrations, worth crores of rupees, to please the Muslim community. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao obviously has his eyes on the upcoming local municipal election.
But he seems to have little concern for the civic workers who have been striking for more than a week now. Consequently, there is garbage overflowing all over Hyderabad and across the State. Mr Rao says his Government has no funds for the salary hike the sweepers are demanding!
