Mend ways

Sir — This refers to the report, “Kejri’s rogues gallery of country’s ‘most corrupt politicians’” (February 1). This is not the first time that Mr Arvind Kejriwal, the self-appointed investigator, prosecutor, jury and judge rolled into one, has indulged in a mindless, arrogant and provocative exercise, which is bound to entangle him in defamatory cases.
Earlier, a year or so ago, when he publicised his “beimanon ki list” (list of the dishonest), he had not joined politics. Now, he is not only the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, he also holds a constitutional office, ironically with the support of the allegedly most corrupt party whose leading lights dominate his narrative of the corrupt.
Many of Mr Kejriwal’s critics have been accusing him of deceiving and cheating the voters of Delhi with false promises. If someone prepares a similar list of dhokhebaaz (betrayers of trust) from the Aam Aadmi Party leadership, will Mr Kejriwal accept itIJ
It is time the former street agitator-turned-politician shed his anarchic tendencies and learned to respect the dignity of the high office of Chief Minister which he holds.
