Sir — Scams have proved to be the death-knell for the Congress. The anti-Establishment mood consigned the party to the insignificant position of not even being able to be recognised as an Opposition party, since it has bagged less than 10 per cent of the total number of lok Sabha seats.
The last-minute aggressive burst by Ms Priyanka Vadra did nothing precious to turn the tide in favour of the sinking Congress. Either she was late in her intervention or the voters were not impressed by the dynasty anymore. If Mr Narendra Modi gives a Gujarat-model administration to India, it will be difficult for any other party to wrest power from him in the near future.
