Sir — The recent killing of CRPF personnel by Maoists in Chhattisgarh has once again driven home the fact of incompetent administrations and the supremacy of the Maoists. Time and again, these brutal and bloody attacks force us to think if the security personnel are waging a lost battle, particularly in the densely-infested badlands of the Maoists. One of the major election planks in Chhattisgarh had been that of uprooting the menace of Maoism. But the frequent attacks on security forces present a rather gloomy scenario.
