This refers to the article, “Re-discovering Nalanda in 2016” (July 25) by Ramakant Tiwari. The destruction of the Nalanda by Muslim barbarians ranks as one of the biggest crimes in India. God alone knows what was contained in the libraries — most precious manuscripts which must have shown, not only the depth our knowledge of practically all subjects but also perhaps the history of our great civilisation, perhaps the greatest in the world. Controversies were largely created by British rulers and their Indian cohorts to degrade our civilisation and culture.
