lost game

Sir — This refers to the editorial, “So near and yet so far” (February 15). VK Sasikala, who appeared on the political arena following the demise of J Jayalalithaa and rocked Tamil Nadu, besides becoming the focus of the entire nation for over a week with her clever moves and unprecedented acts to become the Chief Minister, has now melted like an iceberg, following the Supreme Court judgement, which convicted her in the DA case with four years imprisonment as well as a fine of `10 crore.
Though Sasikala played her cards well, she became the general secretary of the AIADMK and then dramatically took into custody most of the party MlAs. But finally, she failed miserably in the game and thus lost the chief ministership: A slip between the cup and the lip.
