Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Booster for Congress” (August 10). The grand old party made formidable efforts and jubilations for just one seat on which the Congress president’s lone and soul advisor Ahmed Patel was in the field from both Houses of Parliament.
Ahmed Patel has played an essential role to fulfill the ambitions of the party to remain relevant. His victory, however, is likely to frustrate honest and sincere workers of the party who want to reach top positions by sheer merit, hard work, honesty and sincerity which the dynasty will never allow. The party will lose it’s political relevance in near future.
