Sir — This refers to the report, “Aadhar-linked social benefits swell coffers” (October 4). It is an open secret that currently, there exists bogus ration cards, lPG connections, bank accounts etc, for availing Government benefits like subsidised ration, lPG connections, pensions and relief on bank loans etc.
Therefore, the linking of these schemes to individual Aadhars can save billions per year. Considering the gargantuan loss suffered by the Government, mandatory implementation of Aadhar is indeed sagacious.
