Sir— Thinker Thakur Anukulchandra (Chakraborty) could unfurl a problem irrespective of race, caste, creed, language religion and land barrier. He has given a simple maxim in the Bengali language and others too; for example, in English and Hindi. One of his sayings is simple but very effective to the people, irrespective of any community. It is, “Manush aapan taka par joto parish manush dhar.” In English, it means that if we can love and nurture people, it would be beneficial to us. The human being generally has a great inclination for earning money, neglecting other benefits — and to earn it by hook or by crook. This maleficent tendency of earning money generally makes people exploit others. For this, so many crimes are beheld in so many sections. Resultant, a great number of people are badly affected in society.
This attitude can be controlled if we can love people like ourselves and try to relieve others from pain and sorrow. Then, those people would be our assets and be affectionate to us indefinitely.
Democracy is largely defined as a rule by the people, of the people and for the people. Ifr this is followed in true spirit, we can enjoy the success of democracy in society in the truest sense.
